Productivity and discipline can go hand in hand in creating amazing results that can change your routine and career. But This doesn’t always look like waking up at 5 A.M., streaming for double the hours and hustling extra hard.
Instead you can focus on small, consistent habits that can completely change your workflow and income over time!
Why Micro Habits Work
Micro habits make it way easier to stay consistent! They feel less overwhelming so you’re basically tricking you brain into being more productive without trying too hard. They also help build momentum throughout your days and weeks and they reduce burnout! Micro habits create routines automatically for you!
Habit #1: Logging On Earlier
Even logging on 15-20 minutes earlier than you usually do can help your momentum tremendously. It can improve room placement, attract early spenders or new fans. This can also reduce stress and the feeling of rushing to get on at your scheduled time! 15 minutes can make all of the difference!
Habit #2: Preparing Before Stream
Less chaos = better energy on cam! Try doing things like picking out your outfit beforehand, having water and an emergency snack ready for you, and your music playlist ready. You can also write down any short term goals you have for the day, this can help you keep focus on what you’re striving for througout your stream! Another thing you can have written down is strategies and things you can do when it’s slow or you hit a slump like games, and fun ways to keep things interactive in the meantime.
Habit #3: Daily Posting On Socials
This can help you get seen! Let people know when your shows are, strive for engagement on the platforms you’re posting on, put effort in to help grow your social media accounts! This will all help with your growth and success. If you stay consistent, you will see the pay off! You never know what doors you can open by growing multiple avenues.
Habit #4: Tracking What Makes Money
Start to pay attention to things like your best streaming times, biggest earning days, top performing shows (go deeper too, what outfits were you wearing, what games did you play, what themes were included) and pay attention to what viewers respond to! All of this is important to track so you know what is working and what isn’t.
Habit #5: Replying To Regulars Consistently
Try creating small, relationship-building habits with the fans that keep you going! Do things like greet them regularly, remember the little details they tell you about their preferences, even send a thank you message every now and then! You can keep them hooked by responding to them every once in a while on socials too, but you do NOT have to do this. Keep fan relationships to your comfort level.Tiny efforts create strong retention!
Habit #6: Setting A Minimum “Effort” Goal
Instead of:
“I need a perfect 8 hour stream.”
Try:
“I’ll stream until my energy feels low.”
This relieves pressure and helps with consistency way more than setting hard expectations.
Habit #7: Cleaning Your Space
One of the most underrated productivity boosts! Working and being in a clean environment can help improve your mood tremendously, lower your stress, and make you feel more ready and prepared when you’re streaming.
Habit #8: Creating A Reset Routine
Create a habit that you can have post-stream to separate “work you” from your personal life. So find something that you can do after you finish streaming to help you decompress! You can try things like taking a long shower, journaling, stretching, a skincare routine, cooking, going to sleep, cooking a meal, going on a walk. Try to do anything besides scrolling!
Remember This
Success usually isn’t created from one huge change, it’s a lot of tiny habits that are repeated consistently. These tiny improvements will become major results when you stop underestimating consistency!
