Mental Health

Let’s face it, you have a lot going on! Between camming, creating content, scheduling posts, interacting with fans and living your every day life it can be tough to stay on top of your mental well being as well. We understand you have a lot going on in your day to day, but feeling good on the inside is just as important as having a successful career! In this article, we are going to give you advice on how to maintain your mental health and keep your peace so you can be feeling your best at work and off the clock!

Check In With Yourself

Sometimes when we are deep in work-mode we are so caught up in the chaos going on that we forget to check in with ourselves. Then once we forget to do that it feels like we start to spiral out of control with anxious thoughts and overwhelm. This can be easily avoidable! Make sure to check in with yourself throughout the day. If you aren’t feeling like the best version of you take a moment to breathe and reset. Don’t push yourself on cam when you aren’t feeling your best. If you aren’t showing up as your best self for work you aren’t going to get the best results! Always keep in mind that your well-being is THE most important thing.

Take Social Media Breaks

As we are in the age of the World Wide Web and social media, it is ingrained in our daily lives! However, it can become addicting and a little toxic at times. Consuming a lot of media can be dangerous at times and it can make it even more difficult when part of your job includes maintaining a media presence. If you are feeling low and you find yourself “doom scrolling”, take a break and log off. It can be hard to not compare yourself to everyone else on the internet, but always remember that there is only one you! If you feel you need a longer break from your socials but are trying to maintain your presence online, consider utilizing scheduling apps like Later.com. This way you can take the break you deserve while keeping consistent activity on your socials!

Find What Makes You Feel Good

Everyone needs an outlet. A day filled with schedules, routines and work can be so draining. It’s so important to find little things that reset and recharge you! Whether it be breathing exercises, meditating, reading or taking a walk. Find something that makes you feel good and practice it every day! Self care is the best form of love and it can be done in so many different ways. Be sure to set aside at least one day a week that is dedicated to yourself. Also, try to include at least one thing into your schedule that makes you feel good every day. It could be something as simple as having a good skincare routine, you don’t realize how good it feels to do things for yourself, whether they be big or small! You deserve to be celebrated and you deserve to be loved, what a better way to do that by giving that love to yourself!
