Heavyn Hiraya is a webcam model who has been creating a name for herself in the industry. By many, she would be considered a new model, given she has only been camming for 1 year and 9 months, but her expertise and overall success in that short period of time would tell you otherwise. She joined IGF Studios at the end of 2022 and has been breaking records ever since. The twice-nominated 24 year old has put in all of the time and effort to make this her full time career and we got a chance to chat with her and hear how she came to the success she has today!
What led you to becoming a cam model?
I was actually a manager at Dominos when I first began online sex work. About two weeks into it I started webcamming. One of my best friends in the world, Alex Ava, was a cam model and a part of IGF Studios. I saw a lot of her posts on social media about camming and I reached out to ask her more about it. I hated my job and my boss and I really wanted to do something for myself. She sent me the contact info for IGF Studios where I spoke with the owner, Lydia, and from there I joined the studio! I remember listening to the studio trainings while I was delivering pizza. I remember telling a friend “If I make more on cam in one day than I do working at Dominos in a week, I am quitting my job and pursuing this full time.” And that’s exactly what happened! Now camming is my full time job, I have so much confidence, so many new friends and it is the best thing that has ever happened to me.
Which camming site is your favorite and why?
I have been on a few different webcam sites and I think my favorite forever is Streamate/Jerkmate. I prefer them over token sites because while token sites are great for traffic, for me personally I feel like it seems more of an advertisement for a gold show. That takes a lot of work and energy with your fans. I really like that Streamate is a private-based cam site, so you make most of your earnings in private shows. I have had the most success with my own brand on Streamate and I really enjoy the platform.
What do you believe led you to be nominated for an XBIZ award two years in a row?
I feel like there are a lot of things that went into getting nominated two years in a row. For starters, I have been very consistent with my brand since I began this career and I have a very strong work ethic. Due to that, I have built a very strong community of amazing, supportive fans. So through that, when I am nominated for something they are always happy to support me and vote for me because I am there for them on cam, so they are there for me. It’s a really nice feeling!
How do you think you found success as a cam model so quickly?
Consistency is definitely how I found success on cam so quickly. As soon as I started, I hit the ground running and took advantage of my new model tag. I wanted to get my face out there as much as possible so that by the time I lost my new model tag on Streamate, I would already have a handful of regulars that were excited to see me. From there, I started to extend my hours longer and later at night so that I could be seen by more audiences. This was helpful because when I do contests on the site and am working long hours, I always have fans who recognize me and want to come into my room. Consistency not only helps with hours but also with my niche brand. I really like anime and I have a very bubbly, talkative personality and I have never changed any of those things about myself. So I am building clientele who have the same interests as me and I never have to worry about that changing because it is authentically me!
What was your favorite day on cam?
This is so hard because I have had so many amazing days on cam. But I think the most memorable day would have to be my first 12 hour shift. IGF was congratulating another model on being the first to complete a 10 hour shift in the studio and I was so inspired by that. I wanted to give it a go so I told my fans I was doing a “camathon”, which is so funny because now my “camathons” are around 24 hours. I remember asking all my fans to be there and telling them to either spend money or just hang out with me! I remember it being one of my highest earning days ever. I made so many new favorites and did new types of shows I had never done before. Now I do 10 hour shifts all of the time and I am grateful because that day made it possible for me.
In her free time, Heavyn enjoys working out at the gym, watching anime and gaming. While she has no plans to stop camming anytime soon, I asked her what she would like to do after cam, “I haven’t fully decided what I’d like to do after cam, but I do know I’d like to stay in the influencer space and help other sex workers.” says Hiraya.
